The ACMilan striker netted twice on his first start for the Rossoneri. Milan defeated SSNapoli to qualify for the tournament’s semi-finals.
The ex-genoa player, Piatek, moved to ACMilan last week got his first goal for the Rossoneri 10 minutes into the game. He calmly put one past the goalie in an almost one-one situation.
The Polish player then got his second just from inside the penalty area, making it two nil before the break.
Milan will now be up against either Internazionale or Lazio in the semi-finals
Piatek made an amazing start. He came in via the January transfer window as a replacement for top scorer G. Higuain, who joined Chelsea on load from parent club, Juventus.
Piatek got to the end of a long Paqueta pass and then calmly slotting the ball past goalkeeper M. Alex to give ACMilan the lead.
Paqueta had a decent game last week and was spot on in giving an amazing pass to the striker who buried the ball in the goal.
In the seventy ninth minute, he was substituted and a standing ovation was given. Patrick Cutrone came in for the Polish international.
