And yea… the Android 10 release date got slipped out by a Canadian mobile network
A Canadian mobile carrier, Rogers has helped us identify the release date of the Android 10 operating system.
There’s a schedule made public. This schedule makes us understand that the operating system upgrades will be coming to handsets on the September 3, 2019 to Google Pixel handsets, including the
Currently, I’m using a Google Pixel XL so I’m so happy and excited this update’s got my device on the list. So we the Pixel owners will get the update first, then the rest can 😁.
It’s a difficult one to predict when other Android devices will get their update; why? Because this depends entirely on how the mobile device manufacturer i.e. Samsung, Huawei, Oppo etc want to tweak the Operating system before release. I am sure of Samsung dragging it’s a** before releasing their update.
So, one cool feature is that Android 10 will natively support foldable devices like
Another feature is the ability to control how apps can access your device’s location in Android 10. It now works exactly like Apple iOS, so you can grant access all the time, never, or only when the app is open.
One other feature I’m excited about is the Dark Mode. This dark mode is not just for apps now but system wide. Official known as Dark Theme, This should give your eyes some rest and preserve battery life at the same time, and once it’s enabled, the change should apply across all the apps on your phone.
Focus mode, another feature (which will roll out on Android Pie probably, is a bit similar to Do Not Disturb. It lets you block certain apps and allow certain others when you’re trying to focus on something.
You can do more with parental controls now. You can set screen time limits on apps and even grant ‘bonus’ time to your kids when it’s needed.
When you long-press on the bubble for notifications, you can block future notifications from a specific app or deliver them silently. So what that means is that they still appear, but they don’t ring out or make your phone vibrate.
And … Yea.. Android 10 comes with some really cool basic theme options. Like one can only adjust the accent colour, font, and icon shape.
